Abstract
The study aims to reveal the level of possession of educational competencies among teachers, especially teachers of the higher basic stage according to some variables such as gender, educational qualification, years of experience, and directorate that is the appendix of professional development for the Palestinian teacher.
In this study, the researcher relied on the descriptive approach, while it was applied to a sample consists of (26) male and female supervisors in the first semester of the academic year (2022/2023) in most of the directorates. Data was collected about (130) teachers specialized in the higher basic stage by using a tool would be with a note card that was taken from the appendix of professional developmental for Palestinian teachers to measure the level of possession of educational competencies by teachers of the upper basic stage.
n this study, the researcher relied on the descriptive approach, while it was applied to a sample of (26) male and female supervisors for the upper basic stage in the first semester of the academic year (2022/2023). Data was monitored on about (130) male and female teachers in nine directorates.
The results showed that the level of the first competency related to the teachers' plan for teaching and learning competency and the second competence related to the teachers' possession of the teaching skill in order to facilitate learning was the highest for mastery and the lowest for the level of excellence. In student learning, it was the highest at the level of skill and professionalism and the lowest at the level of excellence as well. As for the variables of the study: gender, educational qualification, experience and directorates, the results were uneven at all levels.
