dc.description.abstract A secondary school will be designed in Ainabous village. The school will serve three villages near Ainabous. The design will architectural, structural, environmental, mechanical and electrical design.1.2 Objective of the Work:         Architectural  design:  The  architectural  design  considers  the  shape  of  the  building, students circulation and the movement throughout the building.        Structural design: to design a stable and strong structure that bears live and dead loads and resists earthquakes.        Mechanical design:  design water supply, sanitary, under floor heating systems.        Environmental  design,  the  environmental  design  will  include  the  orientation  of  the building, thermal masses and type of insulation used in the building.         Electrical  design:  design  lighting and electrical power system requirement.1.3 Scope of the Work:The work will include architectural, environmental , structural, mechanical and electrical design of the building besides their full detailing sheets and calculation .1.4 significance of the work:The educational process is a very important process in any country. And the school stage is a very important stage in the students life because it shapes his or her thoughts about learning, so the place where the students learn must be a comfortable and beautiful one, and this will help the sThe architectural design considers the shape of the building, students movement and the appropriate functionality for each  room.  As for the environmental aspect, the design will include  the orientation of the building  and type of insulation used in the building. The mechanical design involves designing suitable water, sanitary and under floor heating systems. The structural design involves reinforcement of the building . and finally the electrical design involves illumination and electrical power design of the building. All calculations and details of design of the project such as CAD drawings and computer simulation files are included and to this report. The environmental aspect is a very vital part in the designing process of any building. A well environmentally designed building is a healthier and a more comfortable place to live, work or study. Moreover a building of this kind is a low-cost one.In this chapter environmental issues related to the design of the proposed school will be discussed and cleared. The first thing choosing the site and the interaction between the school and it. Secondly, the orientation of the building and how this will affect the building. Thirdly, the ventilation which is a very important factor. Also, the best way to utilize the energy of the sun in an efficient way and the systems that can be used for doing so.     The electrical design is a very important pat of the design of the building and it contributes with many parts of the designs of the building such as mechanical and structural, so we must as engineers give this part good attention. The electrical design divided into two parts: the first one is the artificial lighting and the second one is power outlets and the last one is the design of electrical distribution boards and circuit breakers. This system is known to provide the most natural and comfortable heat in schools. It can come in a number of forms, from a pot belly stove to in-floor hot water tubing. It works through the process of radiation or direct transfer of heat from a hot to a cold surface.  Most commonly provided via hot water tubing embedded in the floor or directly below the floor surface, radiant panels may be used in ceilings also heating stoves may use. In-floor systems use hot water heated by solar heat unit, also by a boiler, where boiler which fueled by natural gas.     en
