Abstract
The concept: it’s about designing a village based on traditional Palestinian villages which had been destroyed in 1948 and 1967 wars. I’ve tried to create a village that simulates old Palestinian villages in various ways. First in urban design, second in functions, and finally in the details of designed buildings. It was important to insulate the tourists from modern or urban life, so cars were kept at special parking, and new ways of movement or transportation were used, such as buggies, bicycles and horses. Storm water harvesting was one of the features that distinguishes the project, water kept in special tanks to reuse it in irrigating crops. The project consists of four main parts: the nuclear, agricultural track, Entertainment and residential tracks. Each one have its parts and directed in way that commensurate with its function. Site was challenge because of its slope which ranging between 30-35%, and that required a special care to create the site.
