dc.description.abstract | This research included the study of noise pollution in Al-Shuhada Square in Nablus. The current measurements were made to take advantage of the noise measurements in the noisy areas (7) sites, and a questionnaire was made for (65) people. This questionnaire asked people about noise pollution, its effects and sources of noise, and then asked them what are the most noisy sources in this field. As a result of the questionnaire, there were three main sources of noise pollution in the Square area. These sources were: vehicular noise (60%), general market noise (30%), pedestrian noise. (10%). Noise has auditory and sometimes psychological effects on human health. The exposure time ranges between (6-20) hours at a time. Today, sound pressure levels in Martyrs Square range between (70 - 92) decibels. | en_US |
