Abstract
“Rouh Al-Rouh” is more than just a treatment facility — it is a healing journey rooted in the harmony between architecture, nature, and the human soul. The design embraces soft, organic forms to create a calm, welcoming atmosphere that intentionally avoids the cold, clinical feel of traditional medical buildings. Healing Journey: From the very first step into the center, users are guided through a thoughtful sequence of spaces then moving through zones for meditation and initial consultation, individual therapy, group sessions, and eventually reaching the open therapeutic gardens. gradual emotional progress from tension to inner balance and social reintegration. Architectural Identity: The building’s transparent façades, decorated with patterns inspired by citrus and olive leaves,reflect rafah natural identity and cultural roots. Domed roofs bring in soft daylight, reinforcing openness and psychological comfort throughout the center. Double-Skin Façade System : The building adopts a double-skin façade system, consisting of two independent layers separated by a ventilated air cavity. The outer skin features a decorative screen inspired by local flora (olive and citrus leaves),while the inner skin is a structural glass façade allowing natural light in. This system serves multiple purposes: •Thermal and acoustic insulation for enhanced indoor comfort •Filtered daylight and visual privacy, supporting therapeutic needs •Cultural identity, reflecting local Palestinian elements •Healing aesthetics, with organic shadows and calm visual rhythm The façade plays a key role in promoting psychological well-being while ensuring environmental performance and architectural expression
