Abstract
CNC stands for Computer Numerical Control. There are several motivating factors for this particular choice of a project. Programmable coordinate positioning systems employing stepper motor controls have diverse applications and are extensively used in areas where precision linear and or, non-linear traversals are required. The objective of this project is to design, integrate, and build a PC programmable X-Y coordinate positioning system that could be used by the variety of instruments requiring a precise X-Y coordinate setting.
