Abstract
-About the project: The Hijaz railway line is a road transport by train established by the Ottomans for the purpose of transporting pilgrims and goods was opened in 1908 and was destroyed in 1916. The idea of the project is to rehabilitate the Hijaz railway line and turn it from a line to transport a tourist line that will transport tourists through the archaeological tourist areas of Palestine through a path called (Al-Kharq road) between Sabastiya, Masoudiya, Anabta and Bal'a. This route is like a tourist trip that starts with tourists from the area of Sabastiya to identify the monuments there (Roman columns and the Roman amphitheater). Then the tourists travel by train to the Masoudia area, which has been rehabilitated in this project as a cultural tourism area as it contains a number of Ottoman buildings of the original station in 1908 Then we move to Anabta area, which is characterized as a green area to attract tourists to the areas of the green plains and agriculture located in Palestine, and then end the tourists walking path inside the old Ottoman Bal’a Tunnel, thus combining the remnants of Palestine forgotten that Passed by this part of the tourist track. - Project site and Area: North of the city of Nablus in the northern West Bank located in Al- Massoudia "Barqa" area of 92 acres, and the name of the place as "Massoudia" to the family of Massoud, a Palestinian family from Barqa, which owned part of the land of the station, and still owns land next to the park. - Components of the project: The project consists of two parts, including the entertainment side, which is similar to parks and Amphitheater, children's play area, family area, kiosks, restaurants and areas planted with original plants and trees in the area, barbecue area for family picnics. The second part includes a historical Ottoman museum that displays the history of the Ottomans and Hijaz-The building has a modern style in contrast to the old buildings because it is a point to attract people to this area-, and In the end of the second part there is also a mountain camping area in the high mountainous areas of the site. - The concept of the project: Add Value NOT Building The aim was to add value to the area and not just to add buildings, where tourists and people were attracted to the importance of this heritage and architectural area through its rehabilitation.
