Abstract
Since the invention of vehicles and the world started to face a lot of environmental problems due to the mismanagement of the scrap tires produced by vehicles in general and mainly cars. However, the world needs a useful and efficient way to control these scrap tires and to recycle them in order to reduce the environmental problems and to obtain useful products form the scrap tires which is pyrolysis. In this project a comprehensive literature reviews were conducted on previously published work on waste tires non-catalytic and catalytic pyrolysis. Also, it includes a review of different types of catalytic pyrolysis processes used. Moreover, this project aims to modify and enhance the pyrolysis process by examining different types of metal oxide silica-based catalysts on the pyrolysis process which so-called catalytic pyrolysis. However, these catalysts were prepared in the laborites of chemical engineering department in An-Najah National University. Finally, an experimental setup was designed and fabricated in order to examine the catalysts effect on the pyrolysis process
