Water is essential to our daily needs. Providing water in an adequate way necessitates the existence of water distribution networks that are capable to deliver water to residents of communities. Once water is supplied there will be water consumption and this will lead to wastewater generation. Getting rid of this wastewater is of great concern. The current practice in the majority of the Palestinian communities in terms of the disposal of the wastewater is the use of cesspits. Nevertheless, such a practice has a negative impact on the environment in many aspects. Since we are talking about urban areas, rainfall will become stormwater (runoff) and the drainage and collection of such water is of importance in order to facilitate daily life of residents.   All what we already mentioned require the existence of hydraulic systems that are capable to provide the expected level of service. Providing water requires the presence of efficient water distribution networks that can provide the water at adequate pressures and reasonable velocities. The wastewater must be dealt with using wastewater collection networks that can collect such wastewater from the points of generation to treatment plants and later to points of use or disposal. Such networks must be designed to satisfy the preset constraints. Last but not least, stormwater collection network must be constructed such that the stormwater is not left and drained on the streets and sidewalks.   All the abovementioned networks ought to be hydraulically well designed such that they function optimally. In our graduation project, we did choose Al-Khader Town in order to design the above three mentioned networks. We used specialized software to accomplish the tasks of the design. Such software includes WaterCAD, SewerCAD, StormCAD, Arc Map (GIS), ArcHydro, and Civil 3D.   We collected all the data necessary to do the design of the three networks. Such data was processed wherever needed using many tools as can be inferred from the above. The designs were carried out and the plans, top view, profiles and the tables that summarize the design outcomes were prepared.      en
