Abstract
The concept for the "Voice from the Past" Museum was born as a response to the need to commemorate and preserve the memory of the Kafr Qasim Massacre, which occurred on October 29, 1956, and claimed the lives of 49 innocent residents of the town.
This project seeks to utilize the power of architectural expression in museum design to engrave the horror of the massacre into public memory, convey the historical truth, and present the events in their full, accurate context. Its ultimate purpose is to safeguard the memory of the massacre, ensure its remembrance, and reinforce national identity and a deep sense of belonging.
It is widely recognized that museums are among the most effective means of preserving the legacy of our past and transmitting it to future generations. At the same time, they act as vital instruments that reignite collective memory, shaping how we understand and engage with the present.
