dc.description.abstractThe Faculty of Optical and Nursing is located in An-Najah National University in Nablus city, the proposed design will be evaluated for resisting gravity load as well as earthquakes.    This project, which is already built, consists of a three basement floor, ground floor and top two floors, with a total area of 7694 m2, the area of each floor is 1282 m2.    Structure models will be analyzed and designed by using computer softwares (SAP 2000 v18 and ETAPS 2015), the results will be checked by hand calculations. In addition, AutoCAD will be used to draw sections and details.     The structure elements will be designed as reinforced concrete members according to strength and serviceability as specified in ACI 318-08, for seismic design UBC 97 will be used.  en
