Abstract
The purpose of this study was to construct norms for the Profile for selecting talented players in Palestinian soccer academies in physical and skill variables. In addition to determine the differences in the Profile for selecting talented players in Palestinian soccer academies including physical and skill variables according to affiliation years and residence place. To achieve that, the study was conducted on an available sample consisting of (160) talented players in Palestinian soccer academies engaged in regular training. The researcher used the descriptive method for its compatibility to the study goals. Data were analyzed by using SPSS and the level of significance was set at (0.05). The results of the study revealed the construction of norms for the Profile for selecting talented players in Palestinian soccer academies in physical and skill variables. Also, there were statistically significant differences in the Profile for selecting talented players in Palestinian soccer academies in physical and skill variables according to affiliation years in favor of the most affiliated talented players (5 years and above). Finally, there were no statistically significant differences in the Profile for selecting talented players in Palestinian soccer academies in physical and skill variables according to residence place. The study recommended several recommendation such as the continuous observation in order to enhance the physical and skill aspects for soccer players. Furthermore, the availability of sufficient time for the selection of talented soccer players.
