Abstract
Understanding the project plans is very important in the initial stage of work, good
understanding provides the designer knowledge of locating the structural and non structural elements needed for design, it also gives a better understanding on which
loads needs to be assigned on each floor and what structural system needs to be chosen.
In this project, the plans were complex with various and continuous changes throughout
each floor, it was difficult at first to grasp the information in hand, due to this a long
period of time were taken to complete this phase of work.
Software programs are essential in design when providing software to do 3D modeling
of structure to analyze and design any project, this project was faced with many
obstacles regarding this, due to the complexity of the plans and elements modeling the
structure was not easy
