Abstract
The Palestinian automobile sector has been growing markedly and steadily for years. According to the ministry of transportation and communications statistics, the number of vehicles registered in the west bank has been increased by 180 percent over the past five year. Based on the above, for our graduation project, a third -year architectural student proposed a design of two floors with a built – up area of 3364 square meters. This project was designed for BENTLEY Cars brand. The objective in such showroom is to meet customer’s satisfaction in addition to the company’s requirement and expectations. In this graduation project, this is a continuation of the first project in the previous semester, which was concerned with the architectural aspect, adding the necessary adjustments according to the standard, and completing the analysis of the ecological location of the site, the effect of the geographic location of the building and what is reflected in it from the movement of the sun and the influence of the wind and part of the structural design. In this chapter, the structural design is completed in addition to the design of lighting, heating and cooling systems through studying the thermal behavior of the building and explaining to it the use of insulating materials, in addition to the water, electricity, sewage and fire extinguishing systems, and finally the calculation of the quantities and costs of the building. The team faced some challenges, the most important of which is to reduce the amount of heat and natural lighting passing through the southern facade because it consists of a huge curtain wall in terms of using it in ways that save energy consumption in the building in addition to a good heating and ventilation.
