Abstract
Gourmands are people who love eating and enjoy food as much as they can, those people often
eat a lot so they’ll always need new recipes to try, i.e. they’ll need an application that gives them
recommendations for new recipes, not any recipes but personalized ones, and that’s our project’s
main goal!.
We see that the best way to introduce the intelligent recommendation system is through a mobile
app that represent a social network for people who enjoy eating and cooking, a space where
people can get an updated, personalized list of recommended recipes based on their cooking
history, recipe’s reviews, prefered ingredients, disliked food, seasonal and regional food, health
information like allergies and some other factors, they can then try the recipes using a
step-by-step, user friendly guide, or they can add their own recipes. They also can share their
experiences with others, follow other’s profiles and get popular. In addition, the system will keep
track of the user inventory of ingredients through a built-in shopping list, the system will use the
information about the available ingredients to give better recipes recommendations.
