Abstract
Labor productivity is one of the principal factors in contemporary economics, and a generalized loss of productivity results in economic loss. Labor productivity is a measure of economic growth within a country; it measures the amount of goods and services produced by one hour of labor. This project aims for productivity measurement of labors productivity rates for Block and Stone in the construction industry in Palestinian projects through sampling in different areas are labor productivity measurement by monitoring workers' hours at different times during the day, and the study of the factors that affect the productivity of workers in the Palestinian and find solutions to problems , and build database of the productivity of workers in the Palestinian because it is a source of concern for contractors and property owners. This project which is The Measurement of Labor Productivity Rate will be done because there is no reference about the labor productivity in Palestine, and it will affect contractors when they calculate the time of the project with just there previous experiences. This project has been done as shown in the following steps: The first step: Select the activities that will be analyzed, and checked for labor productivity rate, which are: • Paint work • Tile work • Plaster work The second step: random 30 sample will be selected from the West Bank and it will include north , south , and middle of the West Bank. This sample will be 30 for each item that are determined for the study. The third step: we will get the information (name and phone number) about the 30 sample that we selected and communicate with them to provide us the labor productivity according to their experience. The forth step: the result will be analyzed to calculate the productivity rate for each item
