Regional Planning for Tubas Governorate

Abstract
Regional Planning to Tubas and Northern Valley Governorat Tubas and Northern Valley is considered as one of the important areas in the West Bank due to its geographic site located at the boundaries. Moreover, it faces a lot of problems and challenges caused by the continuous procedures done by the Zionist occupation through confiscating the land to build up settelments, forced displacement people and construct the Separation Wall, cut the connection between communities. The governorate is neglected in terms of projects as a semi-regional center, In addition to the weakness of development projects, especially in the agriculture field as an area of " Palestinian food ". This research aims basically to develop a proposal for a regional plan to Tubas and the northern Valley. The importance of the study lies in the urgent need for comprehensive planning because of the absence of a comprehensive regional plan that links communities with each other in all aspects life, in addition to the weakness of the regional role of the governorate compared with other governorates. The study methodology is based on three axes: First axis is the generalized theoretical axis which contains the theoretical foundations and concepts which related to regional planning, the second axis is the informative axis which studies the actual situation and the geographic characteristics of the governorate. The third axis is the analytical and assessment axis through bonding the theories and the concepts with the informative axis through using the concluding and analytical methods. The most important results of the analysis and assessments is: The possibility of investing in the agricultural sector, which is a high proportion of the economic sector in the governorate because of the existence of fertile agricultural land. The possibility of enhancing the level of services in the governorate and promoting them, in addition to the possibility of investment in the industrial sector due to the existence of craft places that need to be reorganized and developed , and the possibility of investing in the eco-tourism and connecting roads .
