Abstract
This project is designing a cultural center in Nablus city . The significant of this project is because the cultural center represents the identity of the Palestinian people and the history of its civilization, therefore, it plays an important role in organizing the cultural movements and activating their effectiveness. Also Nablus city is one of the most important cities in Palestine, and it needs like these centers that makes art and sciences easier in its different types. The cultural center will provide several sections including the libraries, theaters, galleries, garage for cars , scientific room and a reception area. Also, it should include restaurants , a museum and some other function . In addition, the report will cover the architectural issues that will take care about the appearance because it has a significant role to attract valuable people , also other important issues will be covered such as structural , environmental , mechanical and electrical aspects. Designing the cultural center will be in two stages . This report represent the first stage which aim to collect all the needed data for the design stage more after it aims to introduce a program for the project and to provide all the strategies that needed for the solution. The methodology will go through three phases , the first one is to do a literature review then to analyze some local and international case study and finally to do some field visits to make site analysis. Unfortunately, in Palestine there is no centers that include all aspects of our culture and from this point we decided to design a complete cultural center that contain the most important cultural parts of our country .
