Abstract
Throughout the ancient history of dictionaries, many attempts have been carried out to come up with the most helpful, precise, comprehensive and neat dictionaries. However, even modern electronic ones have in many ways- disappointed many language-learners! Time- and effort-saving have both so far played the major roles in making them favor electronic dictionaries over paper ones!   However, the biggest dilemma that no dictionary has ever been able to crack or deal with in any way so far is the very nature of languages! Its the fact that in every single language that has ever existed, words have more than one meaning depending on the context. This simple fact has been putting language-learner in a big trouble as they try to figure -on their own- which of the several meanings is the one they are looking for. This can be an even more time- and effort-wasting task if the problem at hand is to know which meaning/s are still used nowadays, and which are not (i.e. archaic). MCtionary, not only cracks the above mentioned dilemma, but italso brings another extremely beneficial concept -never experienced before- into existence; Edutainment! Edutainment is simply the efficient and constructive combination of two key concepts; Education and Entertainment! With MCtionary, language-learner wont find dictionaries boring anymore, because it provides them with one and only one meaning, each time they use it to look up the meaning of certain word. Even better; as MCtionary also provides them with examples. The best news is: these examples are genuine; simply because they are context-based examplestaken from their favorite movie/s!Consequently, and in addition to time- and effort-saving, this methodology essentially helps language-learners boost their understanding of the meaning /s of new vocabulary, as well as retain these meanings in their memories for as long as possible. Also some users want to show the movie in a custom view. He doesnt want to show some sections that have inadequate scenes.
