Abstract
K-VRS is a software application based on the Virtual Reality that uses Kinect to give player the sense of fun and entertainment and an immersiveinteractive experience when playing FPS games, by using the users body movement to control the camera/view inside these games and let the user does some action to make him feels that his movement is transferred into action inside the game.K-VRSsupportsvarious movements such asDucking and Jumping and Releasinga grenade to kill enemies.Moreover, K-VRSutilizes a smart phone that is attached to a model (plastic) gun for detecting the direction of the gun when the player turns left or right or goes forward or backward. This will create a great sense of reality for the user allowing him to be fully immersed inthegame play. We have designed K-VRS to run and control any FPS game(Counter Strike,Call Of Duty,etc) by translating all the input from the Kinect and mobile into keyboard and mouse events. We have also developed a simple 3D FPS game implemented in XNA as a special game for the user to train using our system.
