Design of wastewater collection System of Al-Swani

The most important element to the human beings , from the past till now also in the future is water , without this important element , our life will totally stop .In the present time , the life is getting more complicated and our continues need to the water , the rapid increasing in the population and the ultimate industrial development are the main points leading to the scarcity of water .Palestine have the groundwater as the main resource of water supplying , this water consumed by the Palestinian citizens by water networks , and 80% of this consumption return as a wastewater but only 33% of the Palestinian cities are served by a wastewater networks collection system. Waste Water is any water that has been adversely affected in quality by anthropogenic influence. It comprises liquid waste discharged by domestic residences, commercial properties, industry, and/or agriculture and can encompass a wide range of potential contaminants and concentrations.Tulkarm is one of the Palestinian cities that are incompletely have sewage sewer networks , these networks collect wastewater by pipes and manholes and transit it to a certain location usually treatment plant , the main principles of the collecting process is the flow quantity and velocity due to gravity which are judged by the land topography also the pipe capacity.Aims of project:1.As mentioned early , Tulkarm has wastewater network that doesnt cover all the city ,the zone of Al-Swani is one that is not covered by the network , in this project sewer network is intended to be preliminarily designed to serve what about 5000 capita in Al-Swani zone using a sewer network design software ( sewer CAD ) 2.Reduce the amount of wastewater that leaks through the cesspits tanks to the groundwater, the using of cesspits tanks affect on public health and creates suitable medium for pathogens .
