This book written by Hilal ibn Almohsen Assabi᾽. He is Abu Alhussien Hilal ibn Almohsen ibn Ibraheem ibn Zahroun Assabi᾽. He was a good historian and literate, and he had a knowledge in Arabic language. He was faithless, and become a good Muslim in his middle age. His family members known well in science, literate, history, and medicine. He witnessed elite scientist and religious men in Baghdad. He worked as a writer in the Khalefa (the King) palace in Baghdad for a period of time. He had a good relationship with statesmen, for example he had a good relationship with stat minister Abu Ghaleb Mohammad ibn Ali, known for the king proud (407 AH/1016 AD), who gave him a lot of money. After the minster dead, he quit political work and devote his time to write in different fields like literate, history, and the news of faithless. He known for his scientific honesty and trustiness. He wrote four books in history field, they are the Book of History, Baghdad News, Ministers' News, and the princes Masterpiece in the history of ministers. The last one, the subject of this study, has a great importance of historical, social, and managerial perspective. Through this book, he told the news of three major minsters; Ali ibn Mohammad ibn Mosa ibn Alforat (314 AH/926AD), Abu Ali Mohammad ibn Obeid Allah ibn Yahya ibn Khaqan (312 AH/924 AD), and Ali ibn Isaa ibn Daoud ibn Aljarah (334 AH/ 945 AD). Moreover, he told the news of other ministers who are connected those ministers including Ali ibn Hamed Alabbasi (311 AH/ 923 AD). He did not adapt the historical sequence of the events. He adapted the thematic approach to record the events in the era of each minister. Followed by some Jokes related to him. He was looking forward to continue a previous work for Mohammad ibn Abdos Aljahsaiary (331 AH/ 942 AD) in his book the news of ministers, and the work of Mohammad ibn Yahya Alsouli (335 AH/ 946 AD) in his book the art of the ministers. The book provides valuable information about the institution of ministry in that era. He provides a very accurate analytics, important historical events about that era, and news of ministers. Moreover, he provides information about the relationship of the institution with other state institutions like army, Diwan (office), judges. One of the most important highlights left by Abu Alhassan in his book was recording of the political, administrative, social, and economical concepts used in his era. These concepts have historical indications that explain….. Politically, many concepts appeared through the arisen of the state and its fall like the titles of the kings, their vices, the army, the fighters, administrative works, and different jobs. Socially, many concepts appeared which reflect the evolution of the society in the Abbasi era. These concepts highlights issues regarding clothes, living tools, foods, and drinks. Economically, many concepts appeared to describe the economic status of the society in the abbasi era. These concepts described commerce, prices, weights units, hunting, industries, and different professionals.
