Abstract
This thesis presents the design of a cinematic museum in Palestine, aimed at preserving and showcasing the nation’s rich cinematic history while fostering creativity and cultural exchange. The project is structured into four key chapters: Introduction, Case Study, Site Analysis, and Standards. The Introduction outlines the concept of a cinematic museum, emphasizing its cultural importance in Palestine, where film serves as a medium for storytelling and social change. The Case Study chapter examines similar projects worldwide, drawing insights on design elements, spatial organization, and technological integration essential for a dynamic museum experience. The Site Analysis provides a detailed exploration of the 20,000 sqm site, analyzing factors such as topography, climate, and accessibility to ensure the museum's integration with its surrounding environment. Finally, the Standards chapter outlines the technical and functional requirements of the museum, covering areas such as lighting, acoustics, environmental control, and safety to create an adaptable and engaging space for diverse exhibitions, screenings, and educational events. Through this comprehensive approach, the thesis envisions a cinematic museum that not only reflects Palestinian heritage but also serves as a forward-looking platform for filmmakers and visitors, supporting the cultural development of the region.
