The Claims of the Lying Musailimah in his Analogues of the Verses of the Holy Qur'an: A Critical Study

Abstract

This research paper sketches the claims of the lying Musailimah that his analogues of the verses of the Holy Qur'an were divinely inspired. These analogues were poor in style, diction and content. This has led some researchers to doubt their authenticity and ascription to Musailimah. The researcher discusses the claims of these critics, then studies the analogues of Musailimah from the point of view of their narration and concludes with a critiquing of some samples of such analogues.يعرض هذا البحث معظم الأقوال التي جاء بها مسيلمة الكذاب، وزعم أنها وحي من الله تعالى، وقد جاءت هذه المعارضات ركيكة المباني، سقيمة المعاني مما جعل بعض العلماء يشككون في صحة نسبتها إلى مسيلمة الكذاب، فعرض البحث أقوال المشككين وناقشها، ودرس معارضات مسيلمة من حيث الرواية، وأثبت صحة نسبة أصولها إلى مسيلمة، وختم بنقد نماذج منها.
