Abstract
 Nablus City is one of the important cities in Palestine. It has a significance location that connects between cities in Palestine like Jenin and Tulkarm. Thus, the importance of its location will affect the economical, educational and residential aspects. The importance for this project is vital because some taxis from new campus use this street to avoid the congestion in Rafidia road network. So, it will take into consideration that geometric design and pavement surface evaluation will be applied on this road to improve its efficiency. In order to enhance the road efficiency and to achieve this objective, the following methodology will be proceeding: Methodology:      Visit the planned route.   Collect maps and data records of the area from Nablus Municipality including the main data and information available about the project. Also, the data collected include the photos, Soil tests, and traffic counts (number and classification of vehicles).   Take representative samples from the sub grade to be tested in lab.   Setting the design criteria with regard to standards of AASHTO.   Make a pavement surface and geometric evaluation of the road and proposed solutions to match the required standards.   Use civil 3D program in the geometric design of the road that include alignments and cross section.   Finally, estimate the LOS of the road. Results: It was founded that LOS for upgrade is B and for downgrade is A, after 20 years LOS for upgrade is E and for downgrade is C. After pavement evaluation, some sections need routine maintenance and one section needs overlay as described in chapter 5.     Conclusions and Recommendations:         After 20-year it is predicted that level of service will be lowered due to increment of traffic volume.         The gradual deterioration of a pavement occurs due to many factors such as repeating loads, and variations in climate. Thus pavement maintenance is very necessary to preserve an acceptable level of service.         Make routine and periodic maintenance to serve pavement longer time.
