Abstract
In today’s era of development and the great spread of social media platforms, people are using these technologies to solve their various problems.
From this standpoint, we thought of creating an application to solve one of the transportation problems in Palestine that is faced by employees and students who work or study in cities other than the areas where they live, especially for those who need to use more than one transportation, which is usually expensive in terms of time and money.
This project is mainly a mobile application, used by passengers and drivers who want to share their cars. Passengers can search for rides by providing departing and destination points, date and number of seats. They will retrieve rides that they can sort, filter and view more details about, such as the driver details and the other passengers in the ride. Finally, they can reserve a seat in the suitable ride.
The drivers, on the other hand, can add rides and receive requests of reservations from the passengers and then they can accept or deny them.
More features are implemented to facilitate the operation and provide the best user experience. A notification system is implemented to notify the user in multiple scenarios, for example: when a ride he reserved a seat in was canceled. A chatting system is also implemented for further communication and agreement between the passengers and the drivers.
In addition to the mobile application, a website was developed for the admin who receives feedback from users and is responsible to approve drivers.
