dc.description.abstract Innovation is defined as the process of creating values from ideas. Consequently, innovation is essentially about learning and change and is often disruptive, costly and risky. Learning to make creative and innovative change has many driving organizations including universities, which secure the needed climate for creativity, innovation and entrepreneurship. This project aims at firstly assess the current innovation and entrepreneurship practices available in the Palestinian universities (at all levels and entities) towards transforming to entrepreneurial ones. Secondly, developing a customized framework for An-Najah National University in particular, and for Palestinian universities overall to make them candidate for successful transformational process towards innovative, creative and entrepreneurial universities. The project was done by first reading many literatures about different approaches around the world in implementing the entrepreneurial university model, second by creating two questionnaires, one for the universities administration and another for faculties departments. The data collection included these questionnaires and interviews. The data collected was analyzed using Minitab. The data was analyzed on many levels: general analysis across universities, specific analysis for each university, benchmarking and comparing between the universities. The project results shows that in general there is no clear entrepreneurial university model across Palestinian universities, with Al-Quds University being the closest one in that regard. Palestinian Technical University-Khadoorie had the best engineering faculty, Polytechnic University has the best business faculty, and Al-Quds University has the best science faculty. The project suggests many recommendations in different aspects, like setting a clear unified strategic plan regarding entrepreneurship, attracting qualified personnel in the field of entrepreneurship, establish links with sponsors from the private sector, facilitate the procedures for participation in entrepreneurial activities, establishing global network links, and establishing a system to measure the impact of entrepreneurial activities.    en
