Abstract
This study focuses on the review of self and relatives’ lamentation poetry review of famous Palestinian poets “ Fadwa Tuqan, Mahmoud Darwish, Sameeh Al-Qasem, Ahmad Dahbour and Mureed Al-Barghouthi”. This study provides a comparison between themes of Arabic lament poetry.
This study includes an introduction and three chapters. In the introduction, the researcher talked about the goals of the lamentation Arabic poetry, the research topic, the statement of the problem, literature review and the research methodology.
In the first chapter, the researcher reviewed the relatives’ lament. The first chapter has four parts as follows: Father, brother, mother and wife respectively. The researcher considered the timeline of major movements in the written poetry.
In the second chapter, the researcher reviewed self lament written by poets. The second chapter has four parts as well. Each part of expression is separated by poets, taking into consideration the chronological of written poems as follows; Fadwa Tuqan, Mahmoud Darwish, Sameeh Al-Qasem, and Ahmad Dahbour.
In the third chapter, the researcher focuses on the artistic issues related to the written poems in terms of instruction, song and poetic language
