The operating principles for wireless power transmission were well established in the early 1900s by Nikola Tesla. Since Teslas initial experiments in this field, very little research has been done to develop and improve his theories. With the increased popularity of wireless technology in recent years, interest in magnetic power transmission has reemerged. Wireless transmission of power has many potential applications. It provides the opportunity to reduce clutter and remove the tripping hazards associated with conventionally powered from offices, homes, and medical facilities. It can also provide a non-invasive method for re-charging and running medical implants, and can allow several unique advantages in powering devices operating beyond an intrinsic barrier, where running traditional power lines is a non-viable optionen
