The Effect of Using V-Shape Strategy on Scientific Achievement of the Fifth Grade Students of Different Learning Style

| dc.description.abstract | The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of using V-Shape strategy on scientific achievement of the fifth grade students of different learning style compared with the traditional method, and to identify their point of view about using V-Shape strategy in learning. The sample of study consisted of (68) female students of the 5th grade from Al-Sadaqa Al-Felastenya Al-Koreya School from the Directorate of Education /Jenin .This sample studied the unit of 'energy' of the 5th science text book into two groups (experimental, control). To actualize the purpose of the study, the researcher used the following tools: a scientific achievement test, instructional guide for teaching the unit of 'energy' of the 5th science text book according to V-Shape strategy, the Kolb modified '' learning style test'', and an interview with each student of the experimental group. (ANCOVA)(4×2) showed a presence of a statistically significant difference at (α=0.05) between the means of the grades of the students on the scientific achievement test, which was applied after experimental treatment, by 5th grade students in favour of experimental group. But There was no statistically significant difference due to the interaction between teaching method and learning style. In addition, the data from the interview showed that 5th grade students have positive trends toward using V-Shape strategy in learning. Based on these results, the study recommended the following. First, the importance of using V-Shape strategy in teaching science as a result of its great role in improving the educational achievement of students and its harmony with different learning styles and students' positive trends toward using it in learning. Second, the importance of training science teachers on the strategy and how they apply it in teaching science. Finally, the strategy recommended to carry out other studies in other subjects, classes and variables. | en |
| dc.description.abstract | هدفت الدراسة الحالية إلى التقصي عن أثر استخدام استراتيجية V-Shape على التحصيل العلمي لدى طالبات الصف الخامس الأساسي ذوات أنماط التعلم المختلفة مقارنة بالطريقة الاعتيادية، والتعرف على وجهة نظرهن حول استخدام هذه الاستراتيجية في التعلم. تكونت عينة الدراسة من (68) طالبة من طالبات الصف الخامس الأساسي، في مدرسة الصداقة الفلسطينية الكورية التابعة لمديرية التربية والتعليم في جنين، حيث درست طالبات عينة الدراسة وحدة "الطاقة" من كتاب العلوم العامة للصف الخامس الأساسي في مجموعتين (تجريبية، وضابطة). ولتحقيق أهداف الدراسة تم إعداد اختبار التحصيل العلمي، ودليل المعلم، واستخدام اختبار كولب المعدل للنمط التعلمي، إضافة إلى عقد مقابلة شفوية مع طالبات المجموعة التجريبية. وأظهرت نتائج تحليل التباين المصاحب (ANCOVA) (2×4)، وجود فرق دال إحصائيا بين متوسطات علامات الطالبات على اختبار التحصيل العلمي البعدي لصالح أفراد المجموعة التجريبية، بينما لم يوجد فرق يعزى للتفاعل بين الطريقة المستخدمة في التدريس ونمط التعلم. وكشفت المقابلة عن تكون توجهات إيجابية لدى طالبات الصف الخامس الأساسي نحو استخدام استراتيجية V-Shape في التعلم. وفي ضوء هذه النتائج أوصت الدراسة باستخدام استراتيجية V-Shape في تدريس العلوم لما لها من دور في رفع التحصيل العلمي لدى الطلبة وانسجامها وأنماط التعلم المختلفة إضافة إلى توجهات الطلبة الإيجابية نحو استخدامها في التعلم، وأهمية تدريب معلم العلوم في إعداده وتأهيله على كيفية استخدام هذه الاستراتيجية. كما أوصت الدراسة بإجراء دراسات أخرى في موضوعات أخرى من العلوم، ودراسة متغيرات أخرى إضافة إلى المتغيرات التي تناولتها الدراسة. | ar |
