Abstract
project definition : the main intention of the project is to bring back the life to the nablus city downtown and the old , forgotten hippodrome using different strategies which are shown later the project location : nablus city centre especially the roman hippodrome . the reason of choosing this area : the city centre has a special moral value to the citizens , as it struggles from the car traffic jam , as well as it's lack of green spots and seats , and considering the small amount of pedestrian paths ,and what grabs the attention is the ignorance of the importance of the hippodrome and turning it into a landfill despite the fact that the numbers of hippodromes are countable on the palm of your hand , we have a very noticeable gap of the communication between the merchant shops concept : revive the city centre area starting of the ancient region (the hippodrome ) and that's to indicate that nablus city is the origin of the civilization and it's past is the basis of it's present as well as the future using different strategies : strating from preventing cars from entering the city centre and directing it outside , continuing to reviving the hippodrome area by creating a museum and shops around it and melting it down with them and the purpose of that is to attract people to see it , we seperated the museum apart from the shops to provide privacy to the museum , using the rectangular shape as it's most used nowadays so it's more acceptable by people , to highlight the building from the serrounding blocks we used different material using the reflecting glass as a cover for the project masses and that's to reflect the serrounding buildings as well as the sky so the masses fade with the sky from viewer's prespective because the museum is in the city centre we had to make it acceptable by the people by maintaining the physical and visual interaction and proving shaded areas for people by rasing the project on pillars
