Abstract
Abstract The study aimed to authenticate the hadiths featured in Sheikh al-Sabuni's "Rawai' al-Bayan: Tafsir Ayat al-Ahkam," which are not found in either Sahih Bukhari or Sahih Muslim and are not related to the reasons for revelation. The study evaluated these hadiths to ascertain their validity or weakness, applying the principles of criticism established by hadith scholars. A total of 102 hadiths cited by al-Sabuni were identified within the scope of this study. Adopting a critical approach, the study collected the transmission chains of the hadiths and assessed the credibility of their narrators, in line with the methodology of hadith critics. It was structured into three chapters: the first introduces Sheikh al-Sabuni, his book "Rawai' al-Bayan," and the hadiths concerning Islamic rulings; the second and third chapters, the core of the study, focus on the authentication and evaluation of these hadiths. The fourth chapter examines Sheikh al-Sabuni's methods in handling the hadiths in his book and addresses some critiques in this regard. Among the key findings, the study determined that only one hadith is authentic, one hadith is of good quality in and of itself, one hadith is fabricated, and the remaining 99 hadiths are weak or very weak. Keywords: Authentication, Rawai' al-Bayan, al-Sabuni, Hadiths on Rulings.
