dc.description.abstractGreen building is a new trend in construction. The main goals of green design is to reduce the overall negative impact of the built environment on human health and the natural environment by efficiently using of resources in order to protect occupants' health and reduce waste and pollution from each building.Schools are one of the most projects executed here in Palestine. The concept of the project Green School in Jericho will include a green design for the school which takes Mainly into consideration   the environmental aspects in order to be more energy efficient with the special climate of Jericho city by using ECOTECT soft programme ,this program analyze the building depending on the location the building will be build in, and gives an indication of solar gain and the effect of shading building acoustics behaviour, beside calculate the cost of the building and any energy source used in, throughout the year.The main idea of green school which considered as an energy efficient building is to maximize solar gain in winter, and reduction of solar loss Proper Insulations, and to minimize an indirect solar gain in summer via proper shading and improve ventilation.The Design of the School is divided into these parts: Architectural Design; include a full architectural design with plans elevations and sections. Structural Design; include designing for each structural element, design loads, materials, earthquake design, specifications and codes Environmental Design:  include thermal comfort, acoustics, and daylighting.           Mechanical Design: include sewerage system, manholes distribution, water supply, and recycling.en
