Abstract
Proper transportation services permit the specialization of industry or commerce, reduce costs for raw materials like building stone, or manufactured goods, and result in lower costs and greater choices for the consumer. Nablus city, one of the main commercial centers in the West Bank, suffers from high congestions in Central Business District (CBD) because it lies between two mountains. Nablus roads are characterized as relatively narrow and long, especially through its limited but highly dense downtown area and center. Nablus city center connects several main roads leading to other roads and towns around. It connects the northern cities (Jenin, Tulkarem, Qalqilya, Haifa, etc.) and the southern cities (Ramallah, Jerusalem, Hebron, etc.). The construction of a Ring Road around Nablus is essential for solving the congestions problem in Nablus CBD. Therefore Nablus Municipality has proposed the Ring Road to circle the city from all directions. This project is concerned with the design of the Western Part of Nablus Ring Road. It reviews, analyzes, plans and designs all elements of the road and provides the required data, calculations, and details of the design.
