Abstract
Summary: In the past, hotels did not receive the amount of care and attention that they are receiving now, and with the passage of time and the development that takes place day after day, the importance of the presence of hotels has become established, due to the influx of many tourists, businessmen and other visitors. Project name and location: a tourist hotel in Al-Bathan village, Nablus - Definition of the project: It is a facility whose purpose is to provide a place for temporary housing or accommodation while providing all means of comfort, recreation and entertainment, whether they are tourists or citizens with international specifications and design principles that achieve the function, taking into account the environment in all its aspects in terms of traditions, culture and climate. Project Purpose: The development of the economy by creating new elements for tourism and capital, an extension of such projects that contributes to the process of exchanging cultures, adding a landmark and a new tourist interface in the region. - Objectives of the project: raising the level of tourism and placing it in the ranks of international tourist cities, finding facilities that match the local and keep pace with the world and represent a prominent landmark for the country, revealing the latent natural heritage and advancing it with the economic returns of the country, attracting tourism lovers, providing a site for investors to practice their economic activities in a manner Satisfying, providing new job opportunities for young people, raising the level of urbanization and sophistication in the region, extending a helping hand to the state treasury and increasing investment returns. Dimensions of the project: Functional dimension: The project should provide hospitality activity and all accompanying services, that the project should be compatible with the nature of the activities in the region, and provide tourism and hotel services at the highest level and with the latest models. • The economic dimension: It works to increase tourism, investment and trade, create new job opportunities, and raise the economic level due to the money generated by such projects that affect the wheel of economic development. 3 • Structural dimension: the use of a construction system suitable for the project and keeping pace with the development of modern construction methods, economical in terms of the speed of implementation of the facility and the price, fully commensurate with the requirements of the project, ease of dealing with it and the availability of good labor for it. • The aesthetic dimension: giving a beautiful window to the country through these projects, contributing to the optimal utilization of the site. - Reasons for choosing the project: The recent global interest in tourism as an important and influential economic sector and as an industry for the future, exploitation of tourism potentials in Palestine, and placing Palestine within the global tourism and architectural map. • About the project: The project is located in the Al-Bathan area, east of the city of Nablus. The area is characterized by permanent greenery and its mountainous nature, in addition to the presence of a water table that works to moisturize the air, especially in the summer. The proposed project land is located in a vital tourist area that attracts local and foreign tourists from all walks of life. The areas, on an area of 30 dunums, and contain water tables located in the middle of the proposed land • The idea of the project: The idea is based mainly on the integration of the project with nature and its simulation of the mountainous nature of the Badan region, in addition to strengthening the water element in the land by establishing areas to collect water and directing the building with all its parts towards the river. The method used in the design was by taking a contour period from the land and redrawing the lines in a more streamlined manner that simulates nature, so the shape of the building was produced through these periods
