The Principals' Administrative Communication Patterns and its Relation on their Students' Attitudes Toward School in Government Secondary School in Nablus, Tulkarm, and Qalqilya Governorates

dc.description.abstractPurpose : The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of principals administration communication patterns ,in government secondary schools , on students' attitudes toward school . Research Questions : The researcher sought the answers of the following questions: 1- What are the students' attitudes toward schools ? 2- What are the administrative communication patterns followed by school principals towards their students ? 3- Does the sex variable affect the students' attitudes towards school ? 4- What is the effect of sex variable on the extent of government secondary school principals' practice of administrative communication patterns with their students ? 5- Does the academic qualifications have an effect on the extent of government secondary school principals' practice of :administrative communication patterns with their students ? 6. Does administrative experience of principals' in government secondary schools, have an effect on their administrative communication patterns with their students ? 7- Is there a statistically significant correlation between students' attitudes toward school and administrative communication pasterns? Methodology: To answers the aforementioned questions, a systematic random sample was selected from government secondary school principals. The sample included 27 principals 09 were men , and 8 were women. Another systematic random sample was chosen from the 12th grade students. The sample consisted of 242 students : 142 male , and 100 female .To measure The effectiveness of the relationship between the secondary school principals and their students and the students attitudes toward school , the scales of Mandy James Alexander were used . Each of them was found to be both valid and reliable analyze the data, t.test , one-way analysis of variance , Pearson correlation coefficients , have been used. Finding: The researcher reached the following results : 1. There were statistically significant differences in students' attitudes attributed to sex at (α = 0,05 ) , in favor of females in all areas of attitudes' expected the students' attitudes towards teachers . 2- There were no statistically significant differences at (α = 0,05 ), between patterns of attitudes attributed to sex of principal . 3 There were statistically significant differences between male and female principals ( α = 0,05 ) , on patterns of administrative communication attributed to academic qualification. 4- There were statistically significant differences at ( α = 0,05) , in principals' practice of communication patterns attributed to experience. 5- There was a positive correlation between students' attitudes towards school and administrative communication patterns of public secondary school principals at (α = 0,05). Recommendation: 1- Designing and developing training programs for public secondary. school principals to get them acquainted with the best means of-administrative communication patterns with their students . 2. The necessity for the concerned authorities to provide insesvice training for principals in the Palestinian Ministry Of Education and the traing, should be focused on concept of communication and giving it its importance. 3- When selecting, a school principal, appropriate educational criteria should be used , 4-principal has to create a democratic atmosphere at his school. 5- the tics between the students and the staff-of the school . 6- The researcher recommends further studies on the impact of school principals' administrative communication patterns on Teachers' effectiveness and students' achievement.en
