Abstract
<p>Purpose: Clarify the suitable age to perform refractive surgery<br />
Background: Refractive disorders are very common among teenagers in any community, and many treatment modalities are suggested to solve such visual problems.<br />
Method: Literature review. The main points that will be presented:<br />
1. Development of the eye & vision<br />
2. Visual problems of teenagers<br />
3. Treatment modalities & prevention<br />
Conclusion: Refractive surgery is like any other surgical procedure, and may be done after complete assessment of the patient’s situation in the proper age and letting him/her understand completely what he/she can gain.</p>
