dc.description.abstract | In general, this project presents evaluation of bearing capacity of silty clay soil and comparing the results between field and laboratory tests. The field test available in our country is plate bearing test and the laboratory test that is suitable and easy to perform is unconfined compression test. Generally speaking both plate bearing test as field test and unconfined compression test as lab test give close results regarding evaluation of bearing capacity. Hence, it is recommended to perform both tests, plate bearing test as field test and lab tests to double check the soil properties of the site. | en |
