We all know that trade forms the backbone of the activity and economy of cities since antiquity to this day, and some cities were famous for the trade of their people. With each other, and among these cities is the city of Nablus, in which trade was very famous, as it is filled with old, modern and diverse shops throughout the times and ages that passed through this historical city. And based on our keenness to develop the city commercially, the idea was to create a commercial and entertainment complex that would contribute to alleviating the pressure on the city center, whether from its original residents or from visitors coming from outside the city. Therefore, it was better to choose a site out of city center. It is located along a main street that connects the cities of Nablus and Ramallah, near the village of Al-Sawiya in the Nablus Governorate, as this street represents the city's economic, recreational, and educational artery and the area for the city's future expansion. The presence of the commercial and entertainment complex in this area will create a commercial balance in line with the growing needs of the city of Nablus in all its corners. In order for the work to be successful, a prior scientific study must be carried out. This research was a comprehensive and detailed study of all topics related to the design of centers, commercial complexes and commercial markets in general. The research was divided into six chapters, each chapter containing a specific topic and a specific aspect. The first chapter contains the foundations and criteria for designing commercial centers from all aspects of design, and this chapter can be considered the most important of these chapters from a theoretical point of view. The second and third chapters also contained a variety of study cases, most of which were implemented in the Arab countries and some of which have not yet been implemented. In order to take advantage of the aspects on which it was designed and came out in a successful and distinctive manner, the study cases were presented supported by pictures, horizontal media, and general information about them in terms of design, location and design idea. The fourth chapter included an analytical study of the proposed site for the construction of the project on it in order to identify the characteristics of the site, its importance, the topography of the land to be built on, its area and its relationship to the streets around it and the surrounding urban fabric, especially since the site is relatively far from the city’s commercial center. The fifth chapter shows us the functional relationships between the various elements of the project and the method of linking them and distributing them horizontally and vertically in the building with attaching tables of the areas of these elements and the number of their spaces and the mention of their sections and the method of linking them in those sections. The sixth chapter contains the references that were used in the project.en_US
