dc.description.abstract | Introduction: Private hospital staff's corporate social responsibility attitude in Nablus City is what this study aims to focus on. Medical, economic, and social responsibility are health organizational priorities for this study. It aims to establish if CSR activities among private hospitals are perceived as real commitments towards social welfare or as a business strategy to enhance institutional image Methodology: The study was carried out with a cross-sectional study based on a pre-designed questionnaire. The hospital staffs were interviewed and data analyzed regarding the perception of the employees towards CSR. Results: Results showed that hospital employees reported positive attitudes for social responsibility with the highest-rated being patient privacy and non-discrimination (M = 4.45). Perceived responsibility differed strongly on gender, age, and qualification level, with males, hospital employees of working age, and more qualified personnel perceiving a greater sense of responsibility. Tests of statistics demonstrated there were high statistical differences of economic responsibility in terms of age (p <.001) and medical responsibility in terms of qualifications (p =.003). Conclusion: On the basis of this study, it is concluded that hospitals need to integrate CSR into their governance. Changes in financial planning and stakeholder engagement are required for the success of effective CSR in the future. | |
