dc.description.abstractThis study aimed at investigating the impact of using a teaching strategy based on cognitive load theory (C.L.T.) in sixth graders’ scientific concepts acquisition and their attitudes toward science. The study followed a Quasi-experimental design. The study sample consisted of (52) girl students, and was divided in two groups, the experimental group which consisted of (26) students and the control group which also consisted of (26) students. Two tools where used to answer the study questions, the concept acquisition test and attitudes for science scale. The results revealed that there was a statistical difference between the experimental and the control group on the scientific acquisition test and in favour of the experimental group. The results also revealed that there is no statistical difference between the control and the experimental group on the attitudes toward science scale the researcher recommended using the C.L.T in science teaching.en_US
