Abstract
Technology and its rapid integration in all the life aspects requires the development of new infrastructures that support innovation, collaboration and economic growth. These infrastructures are known as Science and Technology Parks. This paper explores the architectural side of these projects and helps starting the design process of PAL-Tech Valley Technology Park, which is envisioned as a center for research, innovation and entrepreneurship in Tulkarm, Palestine. Science Parks play an important role in fostering regional development by bridging the gap between academia, industry and the community. The project shows the lack of technological hubs in north part of the West Bank, and aims to create a platform that enhances education, research and economic opportunities.
The proposed park will integrate sustainability principles, state-of-art design, and culturally responsive architecture. It encompasses a variety of functional zones including research and development spaces, educational facilities, business incubators, and recreational areas, ensuring a holistic environment for innovation. Through case studies, site analysis and design techniques, this paper outlines a model for transformative space that connects knowledge with application. Through focusing on the socio-economic needs of the region, the project aspires to be a catalyst for technological advancement and community empowerment.
