In a country like Palestine, mental health is something that is ignored. It is looked upon as a stigma, an exaggeration .Something that is not supposed to be spoken about out load .For the sake of awareness I chose a mental health rehabilitation centre as my graduation project. The project is located within the borders of Ijnisinya village, which is twelve-kilometre North West of Nablus. It is isolated yet close to urban and rural life to help the patients get back to life normally. The design of the project aims to create a space that is both open and safe at the same time, by creating large, open areas with a terrace and gardens while restricting the movement of the patients for their own safety. The project contains spaces for activities that help in mental health recovery like yoga, pottery and art. There is also inpatient units for the patients to sleep in.en_US
