dc.description.abstractThis study addressed the issue of the provisions of non-Muslim kinship. The researcher started the study by defining the concept of kinship in language and dictionary; she then talked about the opinion of Islam towards kinship and the evidences that stress the importance of keeping kinship relations and avoid cutting off the ties of kinship. She also described the main reasons that lead to the cutting of kinship relations. The study also clarified the concepts of Dar Al-Islam (House of Islam), Dar Al-Harb (House of War) and the relationships between Muslims and non-Muslims. The study also explained the types of infidel (Kuffar) war men, their definition in language and dictionary and the opinion of Islam of such people. The study also talked about Dhimmis (people of the contract who live in a state subject to Sharia Law) and Mustaโ€™maneen (people who are granted security in Muslim land) and the relationship of Muslims with such people, in addition to the way non-combatant infidels should be treated such as talking to them nicely, calling Allah to guide them to the right path, being fair and just with them, as well as not to offend them in their selves, money or families. The study also explained the provisions of dealing with the non-Muslim relative with respect to marriage between Muslim and non-Muslim people, the provisions of Nafaqa (Payment), will, endowment, inheritance, Zakat, Eid-AlFitr Sadaqa (Charity of fast-breaking) and penance to non-Muslims. The researcher also talked about the visiting the relative non-Muslim patient, Sallam greetings between Muslims and non-Muslims, attending their funerals, offering condolences, giving them present or accepting presets from them, congratulating them in their celebrations, as well as other provisions. The researcher has concluded that Islam is a universal call that goes beyond all barriers and borders, it does not stop at any limitation, does not consider the race, color and gender of people as it is an immortal message to all humanity. The relationships that Muslims have with non-Muslims, whether he is a relative or not, is a relationship of respect whereby Muslims seek to take human beings out from the darkness of infidelity to the light of Islam. Islam has come as a merciful message to humanity, a fact that is evident in the kind of relationship Muslims maintain with their non-Muslim relatives whereby their rights are kept. Islam is a religion from God that guarantees the human being all of his rights whether he is a Muslim or not; it is a religion of tolerance and treats people from other religions and faiths with tolerance and acceptance. Islam has allowed Muslims to donate and accept donations from non-Muslim relatives including grant, will and endowment. Treating non-Muslim relatives is one aspect of calling to God and the path of Islam. Muslims should correct the misunderstanding that surrounds the relationship of Muslims with their non-Muslim relatives based on the principles of Islam and the Muslimsโ€™ historical experience in dealing with non-Muslims.en
