The study aimed to assess the effectiveness of the Master's program in Contemporary Public Relations on the professional performance, as perceived by its graduates at An-Najah National University. The research focused on measuring the actual impact of the program on the graduates' performance in the job market and its reflection on their professional performance in their workplaces after completing the program requirements, including courses, training, and research. The researcher employed a descriptive-analytical methodology, utilizing a questionnaire and interviews as tools for the study. The theoretical framework adopted the Social Exchange Theory.
The study's sample consisted of a purposive sample of 70 students out of 80 who obtained a Master's degree in Contemporary Public Relations. The study addressed the main question concerning the effectiveness of the Master's program in Contemporary Public Relations on the graduates' professional performance, leading to the following sub-questions: the impact of acquired skills from the program on the graduates' performance, the implications of knowledge gained from activities and courses on the graduates' performance, the teaching effectiveness of faculty members in the program, and how the program can enhance the graduates' professional development.
Key findings of the study revealed that the Master's program in Contemporary Public Relations at An-Najah University significantly influenced its graduates in understanding the role of public relations in the job market and institutions. The program enhanced their capabilities in the workplace and taught crucial skills such as planning, research, analysis, and the ability to communicate scientifically and professionally.
