dc.description.abstractThis study investigated students' attitudes toward homework in Amman City schools, and whether those attitudes are related to gender, grade level, achievement level, and school type. To accomplish the study goals, a questionnaire of six domains was developed and distributed to 1467 students in public and private schools. In general, results revealed that students held positive attitudes toward homework. Findings also indicated that there were statistically significant mean differences (α=0.05) in students' attitudes towards homework with respect to achievement level and school type, whereas no statistically significant mean differences were found with respect to gender and grade level. According to study results and their interpretation, it is recommended that homework should be varied for the reinforcement of positive attitudes among students with good and excellent achievement.en
dc.description.abstractهدفت الدراسة الحالية إلى معرفة اتجاهات الطلبة في مدارس مدينة عمان نحو الواجبات البيتية، وما إذا كانت اتجاهاتهم تختلف باختلاف: الجنس، والمرحلة الدراسية، ونوع المدرسة، ومستوى التحصيل. تكونت عينة الدراسة من (1467) طالباً وطالبة من طلبة المدارس الحكومية والخاصة. ولتحقيق أهداف الدراسة طوّر الباحثان مقياساً للاتجاهات نحو الواجبات البيتية. أظهرت نتائج الدراسة أن اتجاهات الطلبة نحو الواجبات البيتية بشكل عام إيجابية بمتوسط مقداره (3.36). كما أشارت النتائج إلى وجود فروق ذات دلالة إحصائية في اتجاهات الطلبة نحو الواجبات البيتية تعزى إلى متغيريّ نوع المدرسة ومستوى التحصيل؛ وكانت الفروق لصالح المدارس الحكومية (3.39) مقارنة بالخاصة (3.22)، وللطلبة ذوي التحصيل المتوسط (3.42)، مقارنة بالجيد (3.34) والممتاز (3.34) (0.05= α)، في حين لم تظهر النتائج فروقا ذات دلالة إحصائية تعزى لمتغيري الجنس، والمرحلة الدراسية. وفي ضوء النتائج توصي الدراسة بعدة توصيات منها: تنويع أشكال وأنماط الواجبات البيتية لتعزيز الاتجاهات الإيجابية لدى الطلبة ذوي التحصيل الجيد والممتاز.ar
