Difficulties Facing Higher Education Students and Teachers in Iraqi Universities

| dc.description.abstract | The current higher education system in Iraq faces many problems. They are not new problems but they are old shaper. In fact that the Universities and colleges for higher learning have lost contact with the outside world on the one hand and that there has not been access to new technology and books and reference materials on the other. This study attempts to define 'the difficulties facing higher education students and teachers in Iraqi Universities'. The methodology of the research included defining the original population, and defining the sample, as well as the research instrument, and the statistical means employed. Concerning the original population, the number of colleges at the University of Baghdad and Al- Nahrain University. As for the research sample, it comprised (126) students male and female, and (60) teachers in colleges at these Universities. The random stratification technique was used to select the sample from many colleges. The Open question method was used for data collection and to obtain the required information. The researchers prepared questioners containing (39) items which were divided into 4 compartments: Security, Economic, Study, and Scientific staff. The take place at the end of academic term on 2006-2007. The validity of the research instrument was confirmed through presentation to numbers of specialists, and the reliability was confirmed through reapplication of the test after an elapse of (12) days. The coefficient correlation was (0,81). The finding of the research revealed that there exist many acute problems that face higher education students and teachers, the most acute was in: Security area. | dc.description.abstract | إن مشكلة التعليم العالي في العراق ليست بمشكلة جديدة، بل هي مشكلة قديمة، ولكنها تفاقمت اليوم بشكل كبير جدا. وتعد الدراسات العليا رافدا من روافد نهضة البلد وتطوره، وعاملا من عوامل الرقي لما تقوم به من دور أساسي في تقدم الحياة الثقافية الشاملة بأبعادها المختلفة سواءً العلمية منها او الأدبية او التكنولوجية. تهدف هذه الدراسة الى التعرف على الصعوبات والمعوقات التي تواجه اساتذة وطلبة الدراسات العليا في الجامعات العراقية. وتكونت عينة البحث من عدد من طلبة وأساتذة الدراسات العليا في كليات الهندسة والطب البيطري في جامعة بغداد وجامعة النهرين للعام الدراسي 2006-2007. طور الباحث بالتعاون مع مجموعة من الاساتذة المختصين في مجال البحث العلمي والتربويين استبيان يتضمن مجموعة من الصعوبات سبقة اسئلة استطلاعية للتعرف على اهم الصعوبات التي يعاني منها الطلبة والاساتذة ثم على ضوئها تم تطوير الاستبيان النهائي. لقد صنفت الصعوبات الى 4 محاور هي نفسها لـ (الطالب، الاستاذ) وهي: الامن، الاقتصاد، المحور الدراسي والكادر العلمي. وكانت صيغته الاستبيان النهائية مكونا من (39) فقرة خاصة بالطلبة و(39) فقرة خاصة بالأساتذة. وللتحقق من مدى صدق فقرات الاستبيان المستخدم في هذه الدراسة فقد عرضت على مجموعة من الطلبة والاساتذة وهذا مؤشر قوي لتحقيق صدق المحتوى، كذلك عرضت فقرات الاستبيان على مجموعة من المختصين والمحكمين العلميين والتربويين لابداء آرائهم وملاحظاتهم واصدار الاحكام على مدى صلاحية فقرات الاستبيان للتحقق من الصدق الظاهري. وكان معامل الثبات (81و0) باستخدام معامل ارتباط بيرسون. واستخدم الباحث الوسائل الاحصائية التالية لتحليل نتائج الاستبيان وهي: معادلة فيشر، معامل ارتباط بيرسون، واستخدام المتوسطات الحسابية (اس.بي.اس.اس) والانحرافات المعيارية للتغيرات على كل فقرة ومحور. تم تحليل النتائج من قبل الباحث حيث اتضح انه بشكل عام هناك صعوبات تواجه اساتذة وطلبة الدراسات العليا حسب المحاور الاربعة السابقة. | ar |
