| dc.description.abstract | The continuous growth of Islam and its wide spread throughout the world has called for the need to translate the Quran. The necessity for translating the Quran lies in the fact that the teachings of Islam are found within the verses of the Quran; it is the true guide for all Muslims around the world. A large number of translations of the Quran are found in libraries and book stores carried out by Muslims and non-Muslims from different tongues and cultures. Having a large number of translations for the same book raises the question of why all the translations are not the same. This is due to the highly elevated language of the Quran and the Arabic language used in its verses with its rhetorical devices. The dissertation tries to shed some light on how the Quran should be translated and what methods of translation are to be followed when dealing with its verses. The study is based on the comparison of three translations of the Quran regarding the semantic and pragmatic issues found in surat “Yusuf”. The aim is to discover areas in which the translators were unable to capture the intended meaning of a verse due to semantic or pragmatic reasons present in the verse. The comparison is carried out in the light of some of the most important exegeses of the Quran along with important books of Arabic rhetoric and grammar. The study does not aim at judging the works of the three translators; it aims at pinpointing cases that are problematic in Quran translation so as to produce translations that are more accurate and more incongruence with the established canon of Quranic exegeses . | en |
| dc.description.abstract | لقد شهد الإسلام نموا متسارعا عبر العالم ، وانتشر بين الأمم كافة بجميع أجناسها ولغاتها، ومن البدهي أن يكون القرآن الكريم من أهم متطلبات فهم هذا الدين؛ لذا رأى بعض أهل العلم والدين أنه لمن الضروري العمل على ترجمته والاهتمام به؛ كي لا يكون فهمه محصورا على العرب، أو من يتحدث العربية فقط ؛ لأن الرسول عليه السلام بُعث للناس كافة، فكانت الترجمة إذن ضرورة ووسيلة مهمة لنشر هذا الدين؛ ليسهل على غير الناطقين بالعربية فهمه كاملا، بجميع تعاليمه وأوامره ونواهيه، وحتى في بلاغته، ودلالاته، وروعة بيانه، دون أي نقص، أو تغيير، أو تحريف. وكون القرآن الكريم نزل معجِزا للعرب في لغة العرب؛ وأن اللغة العربية لغة تتسم ألفاظها بخصب المعاني وكثرة الدلالات، فقد أضفى هذا الأمر خللا على بعض الترجمات التي لم تأخذ من المعاني إلا وجها واحدا، ومن البيان والدلالات ما لم يعط المعنى حقه كما هو في الواقع؛ لذا ظهرت الحاجة إلى دراسات تبين أوجه الخلل في بعض الترجمات ورصدها في القرآن الكريم، ومن هنا كان الهدف من هذه الدراسة، وذلك لتسليط الضوء على طرق ترجمة القران الكريم، والبحث في أفضلية ترجماتٍ ثلاث للقرآن (لمسلم، ومسيحي، ويهودي) وأقدرها على مواكبة معاني القرآن الكريم وروعة بلاغته . أما منهج الدراسة فقد كان تحليليا مقارنا بين الترجمات الثلاثة لسورة يوسف للقرآن الكريم ، وقد هدفت الدراسة إلى البحث عن مواطن الضعف فيها، ورصد المواقع التي لم ينجح المترجمون فيها بإيصال الفكرة كاملة من العربية للإنجليزية. ثم كان التحليل للترجمات قائما على بيان نوع الخلل إن كان دلاليا، أو أسلوبيا، أو "براغماتيا" لآيات سورة يوسف. ويجب الإشارة هنا إلى أن الدراسة لا تهدف إلى الحكم على أي من الترجمات الثلاثة على أنها صالحة لترجمة القرآن أو غير صالحة، بل إن الهدف هو إظهار النقاط التي تشكل عقبات لمترجمي القرآن مستقبلا؛ للأخذ فيها، وتجنب الوقوع في مثلها؛ لتظهر عظمة هذا القرآن ببيان أسلوبه، وإعجاز معانيه، وقوة دلالته، وجمالية تراكيبه ، ويتذوقها كل متصفح له غير ناطق بالعربية في أرجاء المعمورة | ar |
