Abstract
The current study aimed to examine the relationship between the quality of family life, traumatic experiences, and adolescent conduct disorder in East Jerusalem governorate, in addition to examining the impact of certain demographic variables on the quality of family life, traumatic experiences, and conduct disorder among adolescents in East Jerusalem governorate. To achieve the objectives of the study, a family quality of life scale, a traumatic experiences scale, and a conduct disorder scale were utilized. The study consisted of a representative random sample of 162 secondary and primary students, including 92 males and 70 females from East Jerusalem governorate. The study used the correlation descriptive approach. The study found that the quality of family life was high. However, the level of both traumatic experience and conduct disorder was low. There was a significant correlation between traumatic experiences and conduct disorder. On the other hand, the results indicated no significant differences in the overall scale of quality of family life and traumatic experiences attributed to all demographic variables. Based on the results of the study, some recommendations were made, including designing training programs and special workshops for families of adolescents, enhancing the role of all relevant authorities to count the most significant accidents or traumas that adolescents may be exposed to. In addition to consolidating positive ideas about the need for balanced behavior.
