Evaluation of Palestinian Seventh Grade Islamic Education Textbook from Public School Teachers’ Point of View In Nablus Educational District

| dc.description.abstract | This study aimed at evaluating the seventh grades’ Palestinian Islamic Education textbook from teachers’ perspective. The researcher included seven aspects of evaluation: textbook attitudes, goals, content, educational techniques, layout, index, and evaluative questions. The study, further, sought to find out the impact of the variables of sex, experience, academic qualification, specialization, place of teaching, years of teaching the discipline in the teachers’ evaluative assessment of the textbook as a whole and for each of the seventh domains. The population of the study was 120 seventh grade teachers of Islamic education at schools in Nablus Governorate. The sample of the study, randomly chosen, consisted of 40 teachers: 25 males and 15 females. To answer the study questions and test its hypotheses, the researcher developed a 116- item questionnaire in its final version, and was distributed among seven evaluation domains. To test its validity, the researcher showed it to a number of referees. Pertaining to its reliability, the researcher used Cronbach Alpha Equation to ensure its internal consistency. The study reliability was 0. 955. After distribution and collection of the questionnaires from the respondents, the researcher made a processing of the collected data depending on SPSS program. Analysis of the results showed that the teachers of the textbook found it educationally highly acceptable. The total arithmetic means of the teachers’ evaluative assessment of the textbook was 308 on Likert-five-point scale. The percentage amounted to 76%. The analysis also revealed that the teachers’ assessment of the seventh graders’ Islamic Education textbook was high on all domains of study. It was also found that there were no statistically significant differences at level of ( = 0.05) in the evaluation of the textbook which might be due to variables of sex, experience, academic qualification, specialization, place of the school, and years of teaching the Islamic education courses. In the light of the findings, the researcher recommends introducing appropriate pictures, drawings and maps to illustrate the textbook materials. The researcher also recommends that these pictures, drawings and maps should be accurate as possible. He also recommends that textbook teacher and supervisors be involved in the writing and evaluation of the textbook in future editions. He also recommends holding workshops and training courses for each textbook published by the Palestinian Curriculum Development Center. Participation and attendance of these activities has to be compulsory. Finally, there has to be a teacher’s manual for each textbook as well as a revision and a proofreading of the new textbook to make sure is free from mistakes , and new research studies should be conducted in order to evaluate the new Islamic textbooks for another school grades. | en |
| dc.description.abstract | هدفت هذه الدراسة إلى تقويم كتاب التربية الإسلامية للصف السابع الأساسي في المنهاج الفلسطيني من وجهة نظر المعلمين. وقد وضع الباحث سبعة مجالات للتقويم هي: اتجاهات الكتاب وأهدافه ومحتواه وتقنياته التربوية وشكله وكشافه وأسئلته التقويمية. كما هدفت الدراسة أيضاً إلى بيان أثر كل من المتغيرات التالية: الجنس, والخبرة, والمؤهل العلمي, والتخصص, ومكان المدرسة, وسنوات التدريس للمادة, في التقديرات التقويمية للمعلمين على الكتاب ككل ولكل مجال من المجالات السبعة السابقة. وتألف مجتمع الدراسة من معلمي الصف السابع الأساسي للتربية الاسلامية في مدارس محافظة نابلس بفلسطين البالغ عددهم (120) معلما ومعلمة, أما عينة الدراسة فتكونت من (40) معلماً ومعلمة منهم (25) معلماً و (15) معلمة. ومن أجل الإجابة عن أسئلة الدراسة وما يتعلق بها من فرضيات, قام الباحث بتطوير أداة لدراسته عبارة عن استبانه مكونة من (116) فقرة بصورتها النهائية وزعت على سبعة مجالات تقويمية, قام الباحث بالتأكد من صدقها بعرضها على المحكمين. أما فيما يتعلق بثبات الأداة فقد طبق الباحث معادلة كرونباخ ألفا لتحديد مدى الاتساق الداخلي للاستبانة, وقد بلغ ثبات الاستبانة (0.955). وبعد توزيع الاستبانة واستعادتها من عينة الدراسة, وجميع بياناتها وتفريغها, عولجت إحصائياً باستخدام برنامج (SPSS), واستخدم الباحث التحليل الوصفي الإحصائي في دراسته والذي يبين المتوسطات الحسابية والانحرافات المعيارية والنسب المئوية, كما تم استخدام اختبار (ت) الإحصائي (T.test) وتحليل التباين الأحادي (One Way ANOVA) وقد أظهرت النتائج ما يأتي: •يرى المعلمون والمعلمات الذين يقومون بتدريس كتاب التربية الإسلامية للصف السابع الأساسي أن الكتاب مقبول تربوياً بدرجة عالية, حيث بلغ المتوسط الحسابي الإجمالي لتقديرات المعلمين التقويمية للكتاب (3.8) على سلم ليكرت الخماسي, وبنسبة مئوية مقدارها (76%). • دلت النتائج على أن تقديرات المعلمين الذين يقومون بتدريس كتاب التربية الإسلامية للصف السابع لجميع مجالات الدراسة كانت عالية. •لا توجد فروق ذات دلالة إحصائية عند مستوى الدلالة 0.05=α في تقويم كتاب التربية الإسلامية للصف السابع الأساسي للتقديرات التقويمية للمعلمين والمعلمات تعزى إلى متغير الجنس, والخبرة, والمؤهل العلمي, والتخصص, ومكان المدرسة, وسنوات تدريس المادة. وقد أوصى الباحث بعد فرز النتائج بضرورة وضع الصور والرسوم والخرائط الدقيقة المناسبة للمادة الدراسية, كما أوصى بضرورة مشاركة أكبر عدد ممكن من المعلمين والمشرفين بإعداد الكتاب وتقويمه بصفتهم الأشخاص الذين يطبقون المنهاج عملياً في المدارس, وعقد ورشات عمل ودورات تدريبية لكل كتاب يصدر عن مركز المنهاج الفلسطيني مع إلزام المعلمين الجدد والقدامى بحضور مثل هذه الورشات والدورات, وتوزيع دليل معلم جديد لكل كتاب جديد, مع ضرورة المراجعة اللغوية لكتاب التربية الإسلامية إذ لا يخلو الكتاب من الأخطاء اللغوية العديدة. | ar |
